What this number cannot tell you

  • BEA publishes the GDP of the counties once a year, in December, for the year before. A county BEA combines with another has no page. A county BEA has no value for in that year and published one before keeps its page, with no rank, and is named under the ranking; the line that counts the places with no figure includes it.
  • Real GDP is BEA's measure with price changes taken out, in chained 2017 dollars; the change over a year is ours, worked out from it. GDP per person is ours: GDP divided by population in the same year.
  • This product uses the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) Data API but is not endorsed or certified by BEA.
