As filed
Pay of the principal executive officer, as the SEC publishes it, one value per year. Facts as filed with the SEC, and our arithmetic on them. Not investment advice.
Total pay is the officer's total in the company's summary compensation table. Stock and option awards count at their value on the day they were granted. One award can cover several years, so a year with a large award is not a year of cash pay.
Pay actually paid is not the cash the person received. It adds the rise or fall in the value of stock and options already held, so it can be negative. If a company named two executives in a year, the figure may cover one of them or be missing.

A company that files a proxy statement with the SEC includes a "pay versus performance" table in it. Total pay is the officer's total in the company's summary compensation table. What does the ranking leave out, and where is it from?Limits and source
What this number cannot tell you
- Only companies with a total pay figure for the ranking year that passes our checks are ranked, the largest first; equal figures share a rank.
- The SEC publishes one value of each figure for a company and a year. A company that named more than one principal executive officer in a year may have its table split in a way that data leaves out, so the value for that year can cover only one of them, or be missing.
- Most of the companies in our set are not ranked: the SEC data holds no value for them, or none that passes our checks.
- A figure is held back when it is one billion dollars or more, when it is above the company's revenue of that year, when it looks like thousands filed as dollars, when it is zero and the other figure of the same year is given too, or when it is far from the company's other years. The company is then not ranked on it, and the companies this holds back in the ranking year are listed under the table.
- A year is named for the year the SEC data files it under, so fiscal years that end in different months share a name: the fiscal years of the ranked companies end between 30 June 2025 and 28 June 2026. The fiscal year end of each row is shown.
- A parent and an affiliate that file the same pay are both ranked, so the same pay can appear twice.
